Enslaved in the Modern World is a week-long series of events that are being put on to bring light to the international problem of human trafficking and modern day slavery. Enslaved in the Modern World is a project co-sponsored by Global Solutions Pittsburgh and the Project to End Human Trafficking. These are the events that will be taking place: Monday, April 5: Speaker Andrea Bertone, Kurtzman Room, Pitt Student Union Tuesday, April 6: Dr. Mary Burke presenting an Act 48 workshop, closed event, Rm 111, Barco Law Building Wednesday, April 7: Speaker Judy Hales (Moldova), Rm 111, Barco Law Building Thursday, April 8: "Where There is No Light," Film Screening and presentation by the Writer Director, Annemijn Nieuwkoop (who is the sister of a victim of human trafficking), Rm 109, Barco Law Building Friday, April 9: Arts Night For more information, please email Jaime Evanoski at jevanoski@endhumantrafficking.org
