Translator

Responsibilities include the translation of documents and websites for communication and research. Tasks may be completed in PEHT office or from home, transferring documents via email.

  • Person(s) should be fluent in both Spanish and English
  • Must be able to translate Spanish to English, and English to Spanish
  • Hours vary

Outreach

Responsibilities include: providing outreach work to the Pittsburgh community. Person will work to raise awareness of human trafficking through community presentations and/or wo/manning tables providing literature on trafficking in persons, the Project to End Human Trafficking, and further information on how the people can join the anti-trafficking efforts in their community.


Grassroots Worker

  • Person(s) needed to provide grassroot activism through lobbying, letter-writing, phonebanking and other grassroot activities. Persons will be working to change local and national legislation to provide stronger national and international support for those who have been trafficked
  • Person(s) values should align with the mission of PEHT
  • Person should be comfortable discussing trafficking issues with political affiliates and community members
  • Hours vary

House Party Host

Person(s) needed to raise community awareness on the issue of human trafficking through a fun and relaxed avenue. As a PEHT volunteer, you will be trained to speak clearly on the issue of human trafficking. Hosts will invite friends and/or family to their home for an evening of fun and awareness raising. Guests will be informed on the issues of trafficking in persons, PEHT and ways they can join the anti-trafficking effort.
