PEHT's Dr. Burke is Guest on Pittsburgh's KQV Global Press Conference
The Global Press Conference is the World Affairs Council's weekly radio show, airing on KQV News Radio AM 1410 on Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. and Sundays at 10:30 a.m. The half-hour program features weekly interviews with special guest experts on a range of foreign policy issues and is hosted by Council President Dr. Schuyler Foerster. Dr. Burke addressed local, national and international issues related to human trafficking on the show that aired from January 26, 2007 through January 28, 2007.

Anti-Slavery International, sister organization to Free the Slaves, is the oldest human rights organization in world. The group works at local, national and international levels to eliminate the system of slavery around the world.

Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST)
The Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking engages in work to end violations of human rights and provides assistance to victims trafficked for forced labor.

La Strada Ceska Republika
La Strada Ceska Republika works to prevent the trafficking of women in Central and Eastern Europe. They support victims and work to increase awareness regarding trafficking through lobbying and research.

Polaris Project
Polaris Project is a grassroots organization combating human trafficking and modern-day slavery. Based in the United States and Japan, Polaris Project provides victim services and engages in advocacy to build the anti-trafficking movement.

Protection Project
The Protection Project works to research and document the global scope of trafficking in persons The Protection Project disseminates information in an effort to influence policy and practice in the fight to end trafficking.

RugMark Foundation
Child labor is a crime committed against nearly 220 million children worldwide. In South Asia, where rugs are one of the top products for export, it is reported that nearly 300,000 children are enslaved in this industry. The RugMark Foundation is an international nonprofit organization devoted to ending abusive child labor and slavery. RugMark randomly inspects the looms of companies that agree to only employ adults. Corachol Imports, Inc.
Corachol Imports is a retail business dedicated to increasing awareness of crimes against women, especially the trafficking of women and girls for sexual exploitation. Corachol Imports designed the "Las Mascaritas", pins of faces that represent women all over the world who are suffering from these horrific crimes.
